The Ballan & District Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards gives businesses recognition for their outstanding contribution to the regional community.
The gala dinner on Friday 25 October, presented by the Mayor of Ballarat, Councillor Samantha McIntosh, was a showcase event for the region. Many of Ballan’s new and established businesses took centre stage for their important input in the economic and cultural growth of the district.
Award applications are reviewed by independent and experienced business professionals to ensure a high-quality field of nominations. The judges then rank the applications based on the level of detail and quality of information contained within the application, before determining three category finalists.
“As a third-generation local builder, we are absolutely honoured to be recognised in the local business awards,” says owner-founder Shane Cook, who works in collaboration with brother Matt, who coordinates the Shane Cook Home office and building management.
“We’ve been a family-orientated business operating in the region for more than 20 years. During that time, we’ve built an excellent network of local trades to ensure we achieve a best-quality outcome for our customers.”
